On 7–8 October, Tree Law will be heading to London for FutureScape 2025, the UK’s leading event for the landscape industry. This year, we’re both exhibiting and speaking — and we couldn’t be more excited.
Sarah on stage.
Our founder, Sarah Dodd, will be presenting on one of the most high-profile tree cases in recent years: the Sycamore Gap trial. She’ll explore what the case has revealed about the limits and possibilities of the current legal framework, and what it tells us about the future of tree protection in the UK. For professionals working in landscaping, planning, arboriculture, or development, these are questions that cut right to the heart of practice.
Why it matters.
The Sycamore Gap case sparked a national conversation about the value of trees, the adequacy of protections, and the balance between law, enforcement, and public expectation. Sarah’s session will look at how these themes apply to everyday decision-making — from Tree Preservation Orders and planning conditions, to the bigger picture of environmental responsibility.
At our stand.
Alongside the talk, the Tree Law team will be on hand throughout the two days. FutureScape is the perfect chance to connect directly with those who work with trees in the field. We’ll be sharing insights, answering questions, and listening to the challenges you face on site and in policy.
Looking forward.
FutureScape brings together everyone who cares about the landscapes we’re shaping for the future. For us, it’s not just about law — it’s about how legal frameworks can help safeguard trees while supporting innovation and growth in the industry.
If you’re at FutureScape 2025, come find us at our stand and join Sarah’s session on the Sycamore Gap trial and tree protection. We’d love to see you there.
