Our specialism is trees so if you have any sort of case involving a tree then we can help. However, we are not just tree specialists. If you have a civil dispute involving something else then please get in touch with an enquiry and we will do our very best to help.

We communicate by email, phone and whatsapp. We try and keep paper communication to a minimum as our files are electronic. We will try to communicate with you to suit your preferences.

Clients can book in for a 15 minute discovery call so that we can find out information about their tree issue and agree a way to best help them.  Booking for this call can be found here – https://treelaw.eu.cliogrow.com/book/a49b2e107643767e949ddecc2c3478eb

We have a 15 minute discovery call to check that it is something we can deal with for you. We ask that you send us in any information that we need to read through. We review that and contact you with a short action plan and an idea of cost. If you want to go ahead we then go through the onboarding process. That involves an identity check which we carry out electronically and then a welcome letter for you to read and sign. In most cases we ask for a payment of account of £500 before we start work. Once that payment arrives, work starts.

Our hours are 9am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday. We understand that doesn’t suit all of our clients though so are happy to arrange out-of-hours conversations to suit you.

Whilst we are situated in South Wales, we are a UK wide practice with our clients across England and Wales. We can deal with meetings online and using face-time. In the event that a meeting in person is needed then we can travel to meet you at a location suitable for you.

The person who will be acting for you on your matter will depend on the type of claim that you have and our availability. Sarah’s fees are the highest and Sarah is most suitable for instruction on complex cases.

It depends on what your case relates to. We recognise that legal situations are stressful and difficult so we will work with you to get your matter resolved as quickly as possible.

We base our fees on an hourly rate which varies depending on the seniority and experience of the person running your matter. Where we can we offer fixed fees for stages of work in order to give you transparency.

Unfortunately, we do not currently take on work on a no win, no fee basis.

We do not take on free consultations. If you are concerned about cost check out our YouTube channel, Tree Law TV, which addresses some commonly answered tree law questions – Tree Law TV – home of the Tree Hugging Lawyer – YouTube

Our bills are sent out on a monthly basis, billing you for the work carried out in that month. Bills are payable within 7 days of receipt.

In the unlikely event that you are not happy with the service that we provide then you can follow our complaints process.

There are situations in which winning a legal case means that you will be able to seek a reimbursement of your legal costs from the losing party. That does not apply to all cases though and so we will need to advise you of that in relation to your specific case.
