Our client instructed us to advise them in relation to significant damage being caused to their boundary wall by a council owned tree growing in the street to the front of their house. This highlighted that there were other issues with the street tree which made it high-risk and unsuitable for its location for more reasons that just this significant direct damage. As such, we helped liaise with the local authority and secured the removal of the tree. The local authority are now being pursued to recover the cost of the work to repair the wall.
